Die Spindel besteht aus einem zusammengebundenen Bündel Kokosblattrippen. Darum ist der Tabak, der getrocknet und in zwei Strängen geflochten ist, gewickelt, so dass die Spindel in der Mitte dicker ist als an den beiden Enden.
