Μάξιμος Διονυσίῳ τῷ φιλτάτῳ χαίρειν ἔπεμψά σοι φά σιν περὶ τοῦ χαλ κοῦ καὶ ἀντέγρα ψας λέγων πέμ ψον ἃ ἀφήκα μενα, ἀφῆκα μὲν ἐγγύςἐνκύς σου ἵνʼ οὖν εἰδῇς, Διδᾶτι μεταδέ δωκα ἐπέμψα τό μοι ἐγγὺςἐνκὺς τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ Ἀπολλωνίου περὶ πράγματος ἔπεισαἔπισα Ἀπολλώ νιονανολλωνιον, δύνῃ καὶ σύ, ἐὰνἐπὰν ἀναβῇς, πεισ θῆναι οἰδάς μου γὰρ τὴν πρὸς ἐμὲ καὶ σὲ φιλίαν. τὰς οὖν δραχμὰς ἑξήκοντα δὸς αὐ τὰςαὐτα Ἤλιτι τῷ ἐμῷ. ἄσπασαι τὴν σύν βιόν σου καὶ τοὺς ἐ νοίκους πάνταςπάντες ἐρρῶσθαι εὔχομαι
