Warrior Basket (Won, Tong)

Description

Warrior basket with straw and bell with a woven strap. The basket served ceremonial purposes and belonged to a Konyak Naga chief or angh. The names used for the ethnic groups today are Wancho, Nocte or Konyak Naga, although at the time of acquisition the term Borduaria was used.
Entry in the historical main catalogue: "Won" and "Tong" Borduaria baskets.
