Belt and holder for sword (Dao)

Description

This belt or girdle has a wooden holder for the dao (sword, machete). The holder is decorated with a stylised figure, which indicated that the wearer was a successful headhunter. The belt is worn during rituals and headhunting. In everyday life, daos are used as tools.
