Batchelor’s house and drum shed
The photo shows the morung, or men's house. It was occupied by boys of around 10 years and up, and served as a form of educational institution. Each clan had its own men's house in the village. The drum carved from a tree trunk also served an important ritual function
Original description: "Morung (bachelor house) of the Ao of Sussu, with drum shed next to it".
