Description

In der Mitte des goldfarbenen Koppelschlosses befindet sich das silberfarbene, kreisrunde Wappen der Dachdecker - zwei gekreuzte Hämmer. Um den Rand des Wappens steht: "Hoch die Dachdeckerkunst".
Auf der Rückseite ist ein Stab mit zwei Spitzen zur Befestigung des Gürtels angebracht.

Das Koppelschloss gehört zur Zunftkleidung. Die Zunftkleidung hat sich um die Mitte des 19. Jh. herausgebildet.
Spezielle Handwerkerausstatter, wie die Fa. Arthur Capelle in Berlin, die Kleidung und Schmuck anboten, sorgten bald für ein reichhaltiges Angebot.
