Gesichtsmaske "burqa" der Beduinenfrauen
Baumwollstoff, indigogefärbt, gestärkt, außen goldschillernd. Lederbänder zur Befestigung. Fast rechteckig, die unteren Ecken etwas umgeschlagen, zwei eingeschnittene Löcher für die Augen, ein senkrechter, versteifter (Einlage) Mittelsteg von gut 3 cm Breite. Überwiegend Maschinenarbeit.
Erworben von einer Beduinenfrau (die selbst eine burqa trug), die sehr schöne Bandweberei betrieb. Zur Vervollständigung schenkte sie das schwarze Umschlagtuch IB 14371 dazu. Sielebt in einer größeren sesshaften Familie in Steinhaus mit Hof, die Männer gehen "normalen" Berufen nach, offenbar keine beduinenspezifischen Arbeiten.
