Die einzelnen Beeren der Traube sind rundplastisch ausgearbeitet. Trauben zählten im Alten Ägypten zu den beliebtesten Früchten. Als Dekorationselemente findet man sie häufig in der Architektur oder auch bei Möbelstücken und Schmuck. Belegt sind sie hauptsächlich in Malerei und Relief in den Privatgräbern, jedoch treten sie auch rundplastisch auf. Womöglich könnte diese Weintraube ein dekorativer Bestandteil eines Architekturelements oder eines Möbels gewesen sein. (J. Jancziak)
