Mino da Fiesole (Nachfolger)
Poppi 1429-1484 Florenz
Bildnis einer jungen Frau
um 1450/60. Marmor

Poppi 1429-1484 Florence
Portrait of a Young Woman
c. 1450/60. Marble
Many aspects of this portrait recall Antiquity, from the profile pose taken from ancient medals to the hairstyle inspired by marble busts of empresses. Yet it is not known whether this face is a portrait of a person living in 15th-century Florence or if it was made at that time as an idealized profile of a famous woman of the past.
