Die Nische hinter den Figuren erinnert an die Nischen der Fassade der Florentiner Kirche Orsanmichele, an deren Bau herausragende Renaissance-Bildhauer beteiligt waren. Der Stil dieses Werkes steht insbesondere Lorenzo Ghiberti nahe, der zwei Nischen für die Kirche dekoriert und zwei Paare von Bronzetüren für das Florentiner Baptisterium gegossen hat.

The niche behind the figures recalls the niches of the outside decoration of the Florentine church of Orsanmichele, which involved outstanding Renaissance sculptors. The style of this work is close to that of Lorenzo Ghiberti, who decorated two niches for the church and cast two sets of bronze doors for the Florentine Baptistery.
