Rear: Roma l. und Constantinopolis r., mit Zepter in der l. Hand, Füße der letzteren auf eine Schiffsbug (prora) gestellt, sitzen nebeneinander und halten zwischen sich einen Rundschild mit der vierzeiligen Aufschrift VOT / [XXXV] / MVLT / XXXX.
Pierced: Intentional hole(s) pierced through a coin so that it can be worn on a neclace, sewn onto textiles, etc. In case of paper money such a perforation often indicates devaluation.
Chop mark: A mark of undefined form made normally with a chisel-like tool, for example to test the purity of the core of a coin. It can also be the result of damage caused when the object was found.
