Front: Panzerbüste des Postumus mit Lorbeerkranz in der Brustansicht nach r.
Rear: Postumus r. opfert nach l. über einem Altar, hinter ihm r. ein Kind und eine erwachsene männliche Begleitperson (bei Schulte: Opferdiener), l. zwei Vestalinnen (?) und ein weiteres Kind. Das Ganze vor einem Rundtempel.
Provenience: Eingang in den Bestand des Münzkabinetts zwichen 1818 und 1838.
Pierced: Intentional hole(s) pierced through a coin so that it can be worn on a neclace, sewn onto textiles, etc. In case of paper money such a perforation often indicates devaluation.
Chop mark: A mark of undefined form made normally with a chisel-like tool, for example to test the purity of the core of a coin. It can also be the result of damage caused when the object was found.
